Business Focus has been supporting businesses for some 27 years and is now part of Bromley College of Further and Higher Education. Our key activity is to engage with business to encourage the take-up of our range of services. Business focus also tenders for various projects funded by the likes of the Skills Funding Agency, London Development Agency, European Social Fund, European Regional Development Fund plus from UK Government agencies such as the Department of Work and Pensions.

Our principal services are:

Access to Finance

A project to assist businesses become ‘finance-ready' by helping prepare the business plans, budgets, forecasts and ‘testing' the viability of such proposals.

Inspire South London

Supporting businesses to grow and expand, where they are looking at new market opportunities, new products/services and innovative ways to promote these activities. Also look at the capacity of the operation to see if it has the reserves to achieve the objectives plus offer support to the business to be more eco-efficient.

Start Your Own Business

A range of workshops and then support to work with people who aspire to run their own business. There are also specially funded programmes for the recently-made redundant, ie up to six months.

Business Workshops

Half-day or full-day workshops covering such areas as Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Sales, Marketing, Networking, Customer Care, Employing People, Leadership and Management etc.

Vocational Training and Workforce Skills and Development

Being part of a College, a wide range of vocational training is available to assist businesses ‘up-skill' their employees. We also offer some 10 different apprenticeship schemes as well as work-placement opportunities.
